Buypass terminates issuance of TLS/SSL Certificates. This page contains information specific for Customers and Partners using Buypass ID Manager.

For ID Manager users in general

Customers and Partners will continue to have an overview of valid Certificates, with the possibility to revoke Certificates until they expire. We will continue to notify by email on Certificate expiry.

From 15 October 2025, it will not be possible to apply for, renew or replace TLS Certificates.

TLS Certificates applied for by 15 October 2025 will be issued no later than 31 October 2025. This assumes that all necessary information is available to complete validations and issue before this deadline.

We will not issue Certificates with an expiry date beyond 31 October 2026.

From 15 September 2025 we will increase the period for renewing Certificates in ID Manager from 2 to 4 months before Certificate expiry. Certificates that expire no later than 15 February 2026 may be renewed until 15 October 2025. Such Certificates will be issued as soon as possible after the application has been received, but the validity period will not be longer than 398 days and the latest expiry date will be 31 October 2026. Such renewals may have their validity period shortened.

There are no changes to the management of Enterprise Certificates in ID Manager.

Specific to Partners in ID Manager

From 15 October 2025 it will not be possible to register new Customers for TLS Certificates.

We have notified your Customers (Contract Signers) directly. It is important that you inform other Customer representatives.
