Configurations in Manager

Set up and maintenance

An administrator/Superuser is registered when the POS is set up in Buypass. The Superuser is, in principle, the only user who has access to the Buypass Code Manager. The Superuser should register minimum one additional administrator. There are three roles in Buypass Code Manager; SUPERUSER, USERADMIN and HELPDESK.

The first administrator is assigned the SUPERUSER role and has full rights in Code Manager. This is the only role which can set up/change/delete LDAP and Radius, external Radius configurations and administrate the other administrator roles.

Log on

Buypass Code and one-time code are used to log on to Buypass Code Manager. The same application is therefore used to log on to Buypass Code Manager and the POS authentication solution. POS will receive a separate link which contains their unique ID.

The administrator registered on Buypass will be the first to use Buypass Code and will delegate other administrators from Buypass Code Manager.

Note that it is not possible to log on to Buypass Code Manager using an offline generated OTP.

Roles in Manager

Superuser

A Superuser is registered when the POS is set up in Buypass. Superusers have access to all functions in Code Manager and the Superuser is the only user who has access to Buypass Code Manager. At least one additional Superuser should be registered

Useradmin

The role is assigned to administrators who administrate users, assist with fault tracing and issue unblocking codes to users with blocked PIN codes. This role has access to both the event log and audit log so that a complete picture of a user’s situation can be obtained.

Helpdesk

The role is useful for larger POS with first and second line support. The first line can view the event log and guide users out of minor problems. Helpdesk can not change any user information in Manager and only have access to the event log.
